The National Trust maintains many sites across the UK and has thousands of visitors every year.
The decking in the restaurant area was slippery and was causing hazards for the general public using the area. The National Trust needed a solution to prevent any falls but without it becoming an eye-sore.
Gripclad GRP Anti-Slip Flat Sheeting were supplied to fit onto alternate grooved decking slats ensuring that it was foot-sure, cost effective and maintained the aesthetics in these surroundings.
The maintenance department were very pleased with the product as it was simple to screw down in to place using self drill and self countersunk woodscrews. They were impressed by the minimal downtime in the installation that they wanted the same product, although thinner strips for their footbridge as well.
The product is produced from flat sheeting and so it is can be supplied cut to varying widths. The Aluminium Oxide aggregate embedded within the base resin surface of the tread is almost diamond hard and has a very high resistance to wear, and so will outlast almost all conventional material methods.
Exceptional product because Gripclad were able to deliver to our maintenance team already cut to size. It save us a lot of time as we were able to set these down in a matter of a few hours, and then the visiting public and members could walk on them without fear of slipping.
