GRP Gratings: The Safe Roof Walkway Method
Our GRP grating for roofs provides excellent drainage due to its open mesh design but also it has the additional advantage of being anti-slip for level walking surfaces across roof substrates. GRP grating is easy to install, lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and extremely durable.
Where regular access may be required for maintenance regimes, GRP roof walkway systems distribute the load evenly on the roof and thus reduce wear and tear on the roof system itself. The grating can be supplied pre-cut to your specifications or can be cut on-site without any hot work permits. For hospitals, anti-slip walkway grating is key to ensuring the safety of staff and patients, especially for helicopter landing points.

GRP Grating Roof Walkways
The perfect access solution on roofs.
The grating system can be raised and laid upon a pedestal - minimum 10mm or rubberised feet max 10mm.
No need for mechanical fixings.
GRP grating allows opportunities for increased safety. Roof walkway systems should conform to safety regulations, preferably minimum width 600mm.
The width of the roof walkways may be reduced to 500mm when justified by a risk assessment due to machinery or the environment if the platform or walkway is used occasionally and the reduction is made for only a short distance.
GRP grating is available in grey, green, yellow or any RAL colour for this application.
The Perfect Roof Walkway Design
"Due to GRP Grating being lightweight at 12.3kg per square metre on a 25mm deep grating it made it quick and easy to install. No special tools needed, just clamping Rubber Feet to the base and set it down. Perfect."
