Problem Solved at Olton Golf Club from Mark, Course Manager
What was the problem?
Most of our tee steps and crossing bridges at Olton GC are quite old, with the timber and gripping becoming very worn so we decided to re-build them. We are prioritising the worst ones first and intend to work through, installing a few new ones each season.
What did you look at and how did you come by Gripclad?
I looked at many different samples online but most were far too bulky to use and just not suitable for the job. I stumbled across Gripclad in the Greenkeeping magazine and decided to give them a call to find out more about their anti-slip panels. Having seen a few pictures and testimonials I was confident they would be ideal for the job.
How easy is it to fit Gripclad?
The panels were delivered cut exactly to the size we required and just screwed into the timbers securely. No mess, no hassle.
What has been the result since you’ve installed Gripclad cleats?
The end result was superb with many favourable comments from our members. With still quite a few steps and bridges to re-build I can be confident that the anti-slip panels are a hit and finish the job very effectively
