Bespoke Marine Pontoons and Walkway
The obvious and most practical choice when deciding on pontoon material. GRP composite is non-corroding, non-conductive, non-slip and a no-brainer.
In environments where steel would be used underfoot, such as in marinas, public access points and more, GRP grating is a safer and more durable alternative.
GRP is the most durable, corrosion-free and anti-slip material used in Marinas and Harbours etc not only to create a safer environment but to reduce risks to all. GRP is the best alternative to steel, as it is both lightweight, slip-resistant and doesn’t corrode under bad weather or exposure to water.

GRP MINI MESH FOR MARINAS
At marinas, where there is a high risk of sea spray, as well as access for tradespeople, members of the public and seafarers, Mini Mesh Grating ensures good drainage while preventing small items from falling through the mesh. It’s also more comfortable to walk on, is suitable for all footwear, and is also suitable for pushing wheels on, such as pushchairs, wheelchairs, pallets and trucks.
Because of the size of the holes within Mini Mesh Grating, it’s perfect for ensuring pedestrians have a safe, anti-slip access route to a variety of areas.
We have had plenty of praise which is usually along the lines of ...
“This is an exceptional product, unlike what we have used in the past. GripClad were able to deliver to our maintenance team already cut to size. No cutting involved so we were able to set these down in a matter of a few hours, and then the visiting public and members could walk on them without fear of slipping.”
The best thing about Mini Mesh is...
it has all the benefits of our Standard Mesh Grating but with smaller 12mm x 12mm holes preventing small objects from falling through and complying with BS EN14122 Category B and the European 15mm ball falling test requirement. It makes it an excellent choice for pedestrian access ramps, catwalk grating or walkways in industrial facilities and chemical plants, especially on multi-level access platforms where objects falling through the mesh could land on people below.
